  1. The nursing shortage in this country is a phony one, caused by the concentration of nurses in the geographical regions with the highest pay and the most generous fringe benefits for nurses. In addition, the League of American Nurses has artificially worsened the shortage by encouraging nursing schools to keep enrollments low in order to boost nurses’ salaries to even higher levels.

    All of the statements, if true, would tend to Weaken the argument above except.
