Earl of Suffolk

He makes Margaret of Anjou his prisoner and then falls for her
beauty. He arranges a marriage between her and Henry VI to
further his own selfish interests and ambitions.

John Talbot

Lord Talbot’s son. He is a brave young man and refuses to flee
from the battle to save his life. He dies in the battle of
Bordeaux.

Edmund Mortimer

Plantagenet’s uncle on his mother’s side. He was the legal heir
of King Richard who was deposed by Henry IV. He is
imprisoned by the latter and dies in captivity.

Sir John Fastolfe

A knight of the Garter but a coward, who deserts Talbot at a
crucial moment, causing the French to overpower and imprison
Talbot. In the end he is denounced and banished from the
Kingdom by Henry VI.

Sir William Lucy

A loyal warrior of Talbot. He is sent to fetch help from York
for the trapped English forces in Bordeaux. He denounces York
and Somerset as being responsible for the English defeat as
Bordeaux.

Sir William Glansdale

One of the English warriors who go with Lord Salisbury to spy
on the French forces situated in Orleans.

Sir Thomas Gargrave

He accompanies Lord Salisbury when they are spying on
Orleans. He is injured by a young Frenchman along with
Salisbury and dies at Orleans.

Mayor of London

He is in charge of the security of the city and has to control the
fights that break out between the English nobility.

Woodvile

The Lieutenant of the Tower. He has been commanded by
Winchester to prevent Gloucester and his men from entering
the Tower.

Vernon

He belongs to the white-rose faction. He is a loyal servant of
York.
