Find the area of the triangle shown in the fig.41

Solution

In triangle ABC, ÐA = 180^{0} - ( Ð B + Ð C)

\ ÐA = 180^{0} - (117^{0} + 28^{0}) = 35^{0}

using the formula

In triangle PQR, Ð Q = Ð R = 70^{0}. QR = 20 cms. Find its area .

In triangle PQR, Ð P = 180^{0} - ( Ð Q + Ð R)

\ Ð P = 180 Ð - (70^{0} + 70^{0}) = 40^{0}
